What you need to know when opening a bank account in Denmark.

Opening an account

Easy Account (NemKonto)

A NemKonto is an account that the public authorities can use to pay money into. When you open a bank account in Denmark, one of your accounts will automatically become your NemKonto. You can talk to your bank about NemKonto or find more information about Easy Account here .

A Dankort is a debit card that is linked to your bank account and that can only be used in Denmark.
